Book in Polish by Jacek Masłowski, Magdalena Adaszewska. Daughter and father. A relationship that is both beautiful and painful. Sweet and bitter. The most important for the daughter. How to understand and repair it? The father is the first man in the girl's life. He is like Robin Hood, Prince Caspian, Batman. It is up to him whether his daughter will be brave and aware of her worth or, on the contrary, will doubt herself and give up on her dreams. Polite. Shy. In the armour of a successful woman. Outwardly strong, inwardly weak and fragile. Obedient. Rebellious. Blaming herself for everything. Apologetic. Independent. Unfulfilled. Not good enough. Not good enough. A victim. These are just a few of the faces of daughters carrying daddy syndrome - daddy issues. Many of us can recognise ourselves in them. Few of us, however, know that behind them is the relationship with their father like a shadow. Healing and Change is a journey into ourselves that is well worth taking. This book is meant to help daughters find the source of their problems and control it. It is also intended to help fathers understand their daughters and to continually - because learning fatherhood takes a lifetime - build a good relationship with them. Jacek Masłowski graduated from the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Silesia with a degree in philosophy. He trained as a group trainer at the Laboratory of Psychoeducation. He studied psychology at the School of Social Psychology and the Jagiellonian University. He completed a school for trainers and therapists at the Gestalt Therapy Institute in Krakow. He is co-founder and president of the Masculinum Foundation and the Masculinum Institute of Psychotherapy, institutions dedicated to men. Within these organisations, he conducts numerous workshops aimed at the development of contemporary men. As a psychotherapist at the Masculinum Institute of Psychotherapy, Jacek Maslowski works in the EMDR and Gestalt approaches. He is the author of numerous articles, which have been published, among others, in "Gazeta Wyborcza", "Uroda Życia", "Sens", "Newsweek Psychologia" and many others. He is the co-author of books on the psychology of relationships (including 'Sometimes tender, sometimes a barbarian, Sometimes a saint, sometimes a hussy' and 'No eggs. In search of masculinity'). Her work focuses on the issue of masculinity and the role of men in contemporary Poland. Magdalena Adaszewska - writer and journalist. A graduate of Polish philology at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. Writing is her greatest passion. She is convinced that behind every person there is a fascinating story worth getting to know. Journalist for women's magazines: "Twój Styl", "Elle", "Marie Claire", "Sukces", "Pani". Fan of mystery stories and author of a series of thrillers: "The Embalmer, The Daughter and Daddy", for which the film rights have been bought by a TV station. The novel 'Lovers of Auschwitz' was inspired by real events and a story of great love. The author rivers interviews with actors: "My intimate world" with Iga Cembrzyńska and "For ever and ever an amant" with Tadeusz Pluciński. The book "It will be better", in which she talks to jazz singer Mika Urbaniak, offers hope for recovery from difficult life experiences, addictions and bipolar disorder. In the book "My Way!", together with Katarzyna Domanska, she presents the profiles of several extraordinary Polish women, their life decisions, choices, courage and strength.
